You don’t have to learn everything the hard way; I can help. I’ll manage your team, improve your SDLC processes and tools, hire and develop amazing talent, set up a planning and roadmap system that actually works, and most importantly: help you ship great products. My goal is always to help your team self-sufficient, so you don’t need me anymore, but I can stay involved as long as you need me.

  • Why me? - My experience as a product developer and leader

    With 20 years of hands-on experience as a software engineer, product / engineering leader, and executive - at companies ranging from tiny startup to publicly traded tech company - I’ve seen it all. Early in my career I was the first engineer at a startup and built 2 products in 2 years, filing literally all the roles - I was the team. My next startup experience was a wild 10 year ride from Sr SE to head of Engineering and Consumer Product ending in a ~ $500M exit. I’ve built out a platform org at a publicly traded tech company and improved the ability to ship new products 5X as VPE at a SaaS company. My due diligence consulting experience - both sell-side and buy-side - honed my ability to assess and find critical gaps. Whatever your market or tech stack, I’ve probably seen it.

    Although every company is unique, your company is probably not a real snowflake. I’ve seen enough to spot the patterns and am usually able to apply solutions using proven product-, engineering-, and process frameworks. I’m definitely not a “one size fits all” kind of person, but trust me, you really don’t want to reinvent every wheel - you don’t have time for that. As for working with you, the founders and leaders at a startup or scaleup, I know managing your time is hard enough, so we’ll figure out how we work together.
